I think it is. In response to the ugliness, I would say that this side is likely to be covered at some point by a building to the North of it.

This prefab stuff is happening along the bottom and the framing of the podium.
The only prefab on the entire tower is around the enclosed windows on the east and west wall....in the rendering someone posted above you can see the white prefab frames around those windows.
The rest of the tower is glass.

The podium prefab has a tree design all across the north wall, i suppose to animate a blank, windowless wall. I hope to heck that a new build is built up against it sometime.

Also the tree theme continues on the top of the building on the mechanical penthouse....kind of a tree mural/sculpture vibe happening up there.

Nice clean white....finally. Would have made such a difference to replace the gross beige across the street with this white.

I looked at the legend and this same white framing is what will frame in the enclosed windows on the tower....again, that's the only pre-fab on the entire tower. Rest is glass.

You literally need two kinds, end, and middle, make the middle interlock better and then put caulking so it looks like there is no seam...

Agree, I think the white looks really nice but the rest looks cheap. Make prefab look at least tolerable for chrissakes.

Agreed ^ Its not like it's not possible to do concrete panels with stone inlay. This is common in Toronto. Here is an example at a luxury rental property under construction called Two St Thomas, where real stone was set into the panels in select areas along with light and dark precast. I am really shocked that for these two small 8 storey sections they didn't bother to go with some kind of actual masonry veneer.

They are mounting more precast stone panels along the ground floor that are a darker grey. Doesn't look too bad. I am hoping they go with a clean looking glass to complement it.

Most of the ground floor retail facade is clear glazed glass.

Yeah I am not really sure where they're going to put the darker panels. They've got one mounted near the entrance to the parking garage and a bunch waiting on a truck.

From a few days ago. They've added more of the stone effect precast to the elevator/stair shafts since then but the podium is mostly topped out.
