Well done getting the photo!

Damn this is a good looking building. Right along a rapid transit line, across from the Market.

London doesn't really have a lot of "point" towers. Developers seem to take advantage of the large rectangular parcels and builds up on 100% of the lot coverage. Look at the Renaissance buildings for example. Then compare it to the development proposed at the 195 Dundas, the Millennium Project, where there are two point towers that share a podium. It will be interesting to see the types of high rises that come after this as land value in the downtown increases with RT, forcing developers to work with smaller and smaller pieces of premium land.

Only thing I can find is the panel review; (see below). This seems to be where things get a bit lost, there is never a clear approved/declined status that I am aware of. I see no reason this doesn't go ahead quickly, great location, size, etc.

Panel Review:
• Consider reducing the north-south width of the building and increase height as an offset
• Need to find ways to better address the York Street frontage
• Consider removing the surface parking spaces between the building and York Street and provide amenity space such as a parkette
• The slatted structure along York Street is does not seem to relate to the rest of the development
• Widen the laneway on the west side of the building and make it more pedestrian friendly by providing high-quality lighting and paving patterns as it will be used publically
• Improve the materials used on the jewel box –provide more glazing or higher quality materials on the west side
• Public access to the roof will be difficult to safeguard, consider removing or revising
• Further refine the top of the building to reflect the detail spent on the first several floors
• Consider revising the ‘tongue’ portion that extends up the south elevation and provide other materials or glazing
• Make adjustments to the design of the east elevation; consider extending the balconies and wrapping them around the corner

The panel isn't really there to approve or decline developments. They are simply an advisory board which council may or may not listen to. It's the council that approves these buildings. The problem is that there is never ending proposals in this city and not many projects move forward. How bloody long will it take Rygar to actually build something.

York said this year... Seems like they have the money with other projects on the go. If something delays this I don't think it has to do with money more like red tape from the city.

Honestly don't think it's ever red tape from the city. They city really wants these buildings built. I think it's more to do with the developers having the cash to start and finish these buildings.

On another note, Shoeless Joes is opening on King Street right across from Bud Gardens.
