Problem is, zwei/RailfortheValley/EvilEye/DonaldMalcolmJohnston (exactly how many sock puppets does this 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 have?) is easy to ignore because he's just an internet troll. There's plenty of not-so-douchey people like Ron - who also frequents Pricetags, so stay away if you want to avoid conflict - who genuinely think that "if you make transit slower, people will make shorter commutes, and that will create tighter communities;" the entire argument for LRT to Langley is that if you make it hard enough for Langley residents to get across the Fraser, then they'll give up and shop in Surrey. "Something, something, induced demand" is a popular one too.

Since it's late, and we're all on the same page, let's just agree that said rationale is garbage. Nevertheless, get used to hearing it from a VERY vocal minority (Patrick Condon, Adam Fitch, Surrey's businesses and City Council, etc) for the foreseeable future.
