Sure hat news about 1125 Peachtree is enough to give a man a heart attack from excitement. Here’s hoping the tower is tall, bold, and has a fantastic street presence!

Yeah - I am going to have to eat a steamy 🞵🞵🞵🞵 sandwich if Summerhill looks anywhere near what is shown in the renderings because I have not been a fan until now. Also totally digging the artsy village vibe. I just hope the developers can maintain the same look in the delivered product.

This sounds like everything I want out of 1125 Peachtree. While I enjoy the tall buildings along 14th street and hope all 3 of Opus are built out, it is merely a side street in my mind. 1125 will always be a focal point of Midtown's skyline (from Piedmont Park via the hill, pond, and provide a nice balance to the skyline from the active oval) so long as it's built tall enough.

I really wish I could be a part of the Selig team. Sounds like they have a grand master plan for Midtown they are not so slowly creating and I would love to help create that vision.

The more people we can get to live and work with close proximity to Piedmont Park and MARTA, the better! Sure 1125 is split between two stations ( ~0.5 mile each), but I'd probably rather be closer to Piedmont Park than right on the station.

I know Whole Foods is just about to open up, but I feel like Midtown could handle a few more grocery stores. Cannot help but feel a grocery, lounge, and any other type of consumable commercial/entertainment space would be a huge hit at 1125 Peachtree.

Man, if 1105 West and 1125 Peachtree both break ground this year, Midtown could really leave a lasting impression on how other neighborhoods (and southern cities) simply pale in comparison to Midtown's walkability. Here's hoping we see more entertainment options like we see in West Midtown or EAV start to come to Midtown, too, to provide a balance to the corporate lifestyle.

I wouldn't even hold my breath for it to ever happen. They've been "planning" this for over 10 years now.

Just getting Porsche down there was a blessing (one of those "right place, right time" deals).

Firestone has been fully shut down as well. What were the most recent announced plans for that spot? I remember a hotel years ago but I'm sure that's not the case any more.

Also is there any more to the rumor about something happening to the old Metropolitan apartments on Lenox?

It was supposed to be a W Hotel at one time. But that was almost a decade ago.

AMAZON should not see Atlanta a as a place to avoid as much as an opportunity to effect lasting change through its own positive influence.

If AMAZON is as wise and socially astute as they believe they are, then shying away from a place because of the current political climate is like agreeing to lose the battle. If they are who they say they are, and if they really are this force of social change then they should locate right in the middle of a place they say would benefit most from their influence. Settling in a place that is a basically a duplicate of Seattle is missing a chance to effect real and lasting change in a region they say may need it the most.

To be a force of social change you actually have to confront it first, not by force, but by becoming part of the community, part of the social fabric. Without communication and interaction in meaningful ways with those you wish to develop a mutual respect and acceptance with, then you just remain as disparate groups of people, outsiders to each other.

The truth is that if AMAZON located in the Atlanta area, which is well known at the “capital” of the Southeastern United States, then it would have the most influence on the people in a region it says it wants to reach out to the most. Changing minds, changing hearts, one at a time.

It’s also seems unfortunate and unwise for groups to “Blacklist” a region or city to effect change, this only appears to alienate everyone.

This would be great-- but Amazon is not in the social or political change business. They will locate in a place that is welcoming to potential employees no matter their race, 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 preference or politics. The legislature is hell bent on destroying Georgia's reputation as a place open for business and has done damage not only to the Amazon bid, but to other potential relocations as well--

If all they wanted was to be a force for change they would have picked Detroit.

That project site is a lot smaller than I initially thought! The entire northeast portion is available for even more development.

Nice to see a gym in the rendering, hopefully one will be included! Atlanta in general could use more no nonsense gyms/places to exercise. Including exercise stations in more parks and throughout the BeltLine could go a long way.The more neighborhoods with gyms and groceries, the better.

This is stunning and does excellent job at bringing in elements of historic architecture of the neighborhood and referencing the artistic community that has thrived on the Westside.

What is the perspective of the first rendering? I first thought it was the 14th street frontage going up hill toward Howell Mill to the west, but the Bank of America tower is in the background which is to the east.

Pretty sure you are correct about the vantage point. I believe BoA is at the wrong location in the rendering.

Yes BoA in most renderings simply equals: this thing is in Atlanta.
