I don't think this Drewlo rental proposal (473 units) for Downtown Kitchener's East End has been posted:

The good news: The East End is very run-down and the redevelopment is much needed; the King Street ground floor frontage is retail/commercial; no EIFS, apparently.

The bad news: The photo kind of sums it up ...

Not for long - Charlie West was increased to 31 storeys and there's apparently a proposal pending for a 33 storey tower at Frederick and Duke, on the site of Trinity United Church.

Found these on UrbanToronto, this is the three-tower next installment of Daniel's Erin Mills in Mississauga. The current phase Daniel's Erin Mills buildings are directly across the intersection from this site, which is currently home to a Daniel's sales centre and sits beside a reservoir pond. They are 24, 25, and 36 storey buildings.

I used to live near this intersection, this is going to be a fantastic improvement for a very underused area.

Phase 1 of the development of the lands around Woodbine racetrack. On the right of the site plan you'll see an outline of the proposed casino

Those Woodbine renders look really preliminary.... can't tell if they want the casino to be a smallish facility.

I noticed those renders for the next bit of Erin Mills.....stuff by Daniels on UT earlier (didn't bother posting....I would've updated the thread with construction pics anyways). This looks rather unattractive, but for the area, it'll fit in. I can't tell if there'll be much more revision of the design, but I'm glad to see more height for the area, 36 floors is better than going with the same 18-25 floor height range that's developed in the area. (Unless there are some nimbys to 36 floors,

I think they had the right idea to pick Jean Nouvel. His buildings are very well-proportioned and make use of good materials to make simple statements. He's one of the better starchitects at slotting a new building into a sensitive context.

Yes! My mistake. I meant to say Renzo Piano. Getting a Jean Nouvel courthouse would have been good too.
