Everyone should do it. It won't be a 100% system but every little bit helps!
Absolutely, that is part of the problem now though since not all are aware or on board. You get people that are already in the left lane shooting into the "merge" lane which then causes people to get angry.

This method moves traffic so much better in high congestion situations.

City of London makes a step forward on revising its internal complaint process...Maybe we can get more things done.

So... How about that flooding?

I park in the lot in lower Harris Park to save $. By the time I left yesterday (about 2:30pm), it was about a half hour before the lot flooded.

Some pics around the Forks. The snow mound visible is where I park and is probably 5m high.

Smart City Challenge

Have you guys heard about this project that our city is working on?

https://getinvolved.london.ca/smartcities

I think it is cool. There are a few good ideas listed that i would love to see in action. My favourite is this one:

“Create a city of London ON app that can push notifications to residents such as garbage days, spring cleanup, council updates, weather alert”

Don't know why I didn't notice before but the rebuild of this plaza is well underway. Lots of steel framing up now.

Looks like the Bell Building was supposed to be much taller

http://www.designmatrixinc.com/100dundas.html

Second before/after pic shows this:

It only got up to that thick white line... Possible future expansion or something?

Even back then, people bitched and moaned about how tall a building was being planned for, so they shrank it lol

There was a proposal called Talbot square even before that which was even taller. I tried to find the photo I saw of it years ago but no such luck.

My friend's dad was an architect for the Bell building. I believe it was built so they can add more floors on top if the demand was there.

As far as proposals go, nothing comes close to what was proposed for the Talbot block where the Budweiser Gardens is now located. It was going to be a large mall with 3 or 4 towers on top, including one about 45 floors. The developer was Cambridge Corp, but the city had room for one downtown mall, which Campeau built the Galleria (now Citi Plaza).

Cameras are needed at bus shelters in London

Tens of bus shelters vandalized in one day last weekend.

Shame on the cowards that do such things.
