I reported some specific information a week or so ago. It's moving. Downey's message adds nothing new. By the way, neither the main email nor Eva's email are operative.

The design posted from the philly voice article is the current design that we saw months ago. But, dialing back to the original design and comparing it the most current, yep, it changed.

And, from the picture attached to article, looks like L.F. Driscoll is the GC.

Early 2019 groundbreaking? Wonder why so far out? Contractors stretched thin on other projects or financing not completely lined up or they just need time to complete design work?

2019!! It could turn out to be a real race between 1911 and SLS to see who can wait the longest before starting.

In all seriousness, it must be a matter of financing that's holding up the start of construction. My guess is the money people want to see a certain number of condos pre-sold before any cash is released. If the plan is for 55 condos I wonder what number need to be pre-sold, half, a quarter?

its a good question. My guess is there is a lot of design work yet to be completed and they are anticipating the CDR and other approvals to take a while. I really don't get why they want to start these projects in the winter

Design work! In the years Southern has controlled this site they could have reworked this design 50 times over. This might be a very good building, but its still just a straight up tower, with nothing special about the design.

The time of year, at least in these parts, makes no difference to the construction schedule. Its not as if the foundation is going to be dug by hand
