THE waterloo project likely has parking in the podium. Keeps costs down a lot, but results in very large podium structures.

At first I thought this was the proposal that was next door that would bulldoze the existing ten floor rental tower.....but it's different. That project was approved by the OMB and the city.....at 37 floors.

Damn. Now I'm really curious about the net increase from all these developments in real terms and as a percentage.

Am I the only one that finds that illustration for the Royalmount Mall very odd? The words "mall, farmer's market, shop" are all English words.

Dropping a condo with a podium fit for Midtown Toronto onto this location makes sense because developers have an insatiable appetite for higher density? Given that a large amount of what's around is the very type of built form that the community should wish to preserve, I very much hope that the existing context is taken into consideration. That is the definition of a competent planning framework's purpose

No because it's very likely the scale of all future developments on that strip.

Unlikely, given that it is one of very few large blocks on that strip that could be easily assembled by a single developer.

Can't really make out those details that separates superstar from average Joe. I'm not disappointed by what I'm seeing so far.
