Huge Robinson Dairy site in Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood to be sold, could eventually become brewery or distillery

Meanwhile the bubly will be flowing for anyone who wants to toast the once notorious Kitty's South starting at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24.

I'm not expecting any traction at Tabor 2, but WeWork did recently lease like 90k sq/ft in the Tabor Center, so perhaps they could eventually be an anchor tenant to get T2 out of the ground???

Lacking foot mobility ability I decided to click around for upcoming projects.

To date the only starts in 2018 that I recall would be Block 162 (and that's Yuge) and apparently 4120 Brighton Blvd. 15th and Stout was at the end of 2017 so that's close.

Interestingly the AGC has predicted $5.7 billion of Commercial starts in 2018 which would be 5.6% higher than 2017. I assume that covers the greater metro area and all types of commercial construction.

Since Springtime in the Rockies is primetime for ground breakings it will be interesting to see what else might pop up.

Not sure it's broken ground yet - I can see the lots out my office window and they still haven't closed the parking lots... There might be site prep work for the alley and utilities, but as of this moment it's as close to being under construction as Tabor 2, 18th & Market, or the Trango tower.

Ok, that jives with what I observed to be actual construction at 4120 Brighton.....

The 8 story Modera West Wash Park at Grant & Speer should be starting any day now if it hasn't already, I'll check on my way home.

Other Central Denver projects expected to break ground in 2018:
- Rockies West Lot
- Columbine Place/Sears redevelopment in Cherry Creek
- Champa Flats (13 story apartments at 22nd & Champa)
- AMLI RiNo (7 story apartments in Denargo Market)
- Ivy (5 story condos at 33rd & Tejon)
- 1480 Wewatta (12 story micro-apartments at 15th & Wewatta)
- Grandview LoHi (6 story condos at 18th & Central)
- ACE Hotel (11 story hotel at 19th & Grant)

They have finished demo of the existing building on the Platte15 site so it should be ready any day. That’s actually one of the cooler upcoming projects IMO because it’s Denver’s first CLT structure.

I’ll also add I’m most skeptical about the Rockies West Lot and Columbine Place/Sears redevelopment breaking ground this year. But they are also the most transformative projects on the current 2018 list, everything else being mostly infill filler. Add 18th & Market and Block 162 to that list as major projects that are also in the “I’ll believe it when I see actual excavation occurring on site”. And then you have the “pie in the sky” projects like 650 17th St and Paradise condos, not sure if Tabor 2 should be on that list or the former yet..

The DHA Office broke ground a little while back and the elevator cores are already higher than the other surrounding buildings.

17th & Pearl is under way as well, or at least it looked that way around the first of the year.

I drove by 21st and Arapahoe this morning and the warehouse that was on the north side was torn down and a fence is around the site. Any ideas what is going on there?

I finally was able to see the nighttime exterior illumination for the Confluence last night. It was really cool. I was exiting on Speer from NB I-25 and it was right in my face. It looked like blue rain or something. It was off by 9 pm. though.

No. The "Public" comes from the Public in PBS. They used to be Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting Service, (RMPBS). They are a PBS affiliate. But now they bought KUVO, which will be moving to the new studio, and changed their name to Rocky Mountain Public Media. They also own stations in, Pueblo and Grand Junction, if not a few more cities.
