There are some more details here on the broader vision I had laid out earlier IE 17th and Olympic Way, BMO expansion / Corral.
As I had shared several months ago (on the post I detailed the BMO expansion including size of halls / details about two additional levels including size of the new 2nd floor ballroom) there was indeed a hotel planned with BMO. You'll recall I had stated an RFP had gone out for a 600 room facility, making it the largest in the city. Here I see it is actually across 12th - and they have listed the same room count I had shared much earlier

The addition of an arena to this equation would be absolutely spectacular and a win-win, as the arena would be able to leverage all of the expansion and revitalization that just an arena can never bring to an area. It would also create a pathway to massive international events, should there be a decision to go that way.

Let me add that the residential in victoria park "could" be the athlete & media village for 2026. The BMO plan is for completion 2024 in time for Rotary, and other prep events.
