We'll see if it ever comes to fruition...I'm not sure Berezan's ever actually done a high-rise project before. They're primarily a strip mall management company. They had a proposal for a couple of towers near Willowbrook Mall in Langley years ago but nothing ever came of it.

This new proposal is going to be massive for Port Moody. A glance on google maps shows less than 10 towers in the area - otherwise it's pretty much groundscraper city. Adding 3 more towers in a single development is huge for them.

Port Moody has a number of large industrial sites that are being developed close-by as well.

Yes, that parcel was donated by the New West Chinese Benevolent Society.

I doubt they'll keep it as a dog park out of respect for them

I used to pass by that condo every day...has to be one of the ugliest buildings in the metro. The first few buildings weren't bad, but this latest spandrel abomination is just brutal.

When I'm driving north on 99 and come out of the tunnel this mess always hits me in the face lol. I know we all don't like this over used light spandrel 🞵🞵🞵🞵 but this thing takes it to a new level.

And in the second last pic, are they just randomly sticking in orange spandrel now? Ugh

Langley doesn't get much love around here, but here's an interesting project proposed for Langley City centre. With all the complaining about boring 6-storey condos, thought some of the resident architecture critics around here might be interested...
