This render's perspective is a little more exaggerated than my photos, but should gives you a rough idea of current height vs. final.

^ Awesome! Still has a long way to go.

Can't wait until it starts to climb over the LSE skyscraper canopy. It's going to make the NB LSD corridor look really epic.

Relax. Sit back and enjoy it. Who knows when something this big will be built again in our fair city.

Looks like it's a quarter of the way up if we're going by the tallest tower!

I'm a big fan of bulky and wide towers done right, and I like how you get an idea in post #3038 of the current status, and just how much bulk (in the form of width) there is remaining.

Aspect ratio, looks like a 4.0:1 at the base, and 2.75:1 as it ascends (decreasing width as it rises), finally ending at at a conservative 1.75:1. Just eyeing it.

Width/height.

Point being, its not a slender, but a wide-hipped super tall with attitude.

I've always wondered if we will ever get one if these along the lincoln park skyline. South loop is finally building up but the near north to wrigley needs to get going. I know it will be baby steps to get there but to have our supertall skyline expand north would be the bee's knees.

You wonder if they will ever build a supertall in Lincoln Park???

Not a chance the NIMBY brigade will ever allow that. Not a chance. Also, where are they going to build something like that? There aren't a lot of open sites and the train is a good distance from the Lakefront.

Well 2550 Lincoln Park is 477', so I suppose 600 isn't totally out of the question, but still the question is where would you build it? There is almost nothing developable left North of downtown along LSD.

I know it's not Lincoln Park but 3685 N Lake Shore Drive looks good to put something tall. Also at Montrose Park in Uptown there's a teardown opportunity for something big to go up.

They've tried twice now to build something on that property and both times ground to a halt. Neighbors have some pretty legitimate concerns about the wind traveling down Waveland from LSD to Broadway. Severe wind tunnel effect from the presence of the NY building and the Co-Op along Waveland. Some days strong enough to force people into a standstill...even force some back (particular issue for the elderly and disabled of which there are quite a few living on Pine Grove).

Sure looks like it to me!

Btw, does anyone know about the development prospects of the lot you’re standing in? I know it’s a tight spot but this one, the lot on the other side of NBC, and the Gleacher center annoy me to no end.
