You would be the only one. Some really like the addition simply because they find the shifting glass shards interesting. No surprise, there's been very little said about the lines and white blotches on the smooth face. Just about everyone has agreed the juxtaposition between new and old is ugly.

There was a big discussion with a mod about this in the Calgary section. A handful of trolls basically killed the Calgary Construction thread.

They are not going away by not engaging them so you may as well have fun with them. Engage their stupidity when you feel like it and ignore it when you don't. That's the way I see it. The forum has always been laid back in this regard. It's not going to change. I don't really want it either.

SSP Calgary is different. It's a local forum. There's not that competition that has the potential to introduce something really thought provoking. There's no real negative to having more structure and moderation. This probably already crossed your mind but, I was really never on board for the one thread catch all since day one. That said, I also never expected it be as successful as it has been and continue after 17 years. Only with Calgarians.

I've been to Laval before but just for shopping. I also remember eating at a cool Italian restaurant there. Laval is to Montreal what Vaughan is to Toronto. I live in Timmins so I'm just happy to be somewhere warmer with different things to do.

These were all captured by Google Street View in Croatia. They make this forums issues with the Clocktower seem pretty minor.

Wow, money from dodgy asphalt paving does create some ugly housing.

Those Croatian houses are so ugly they are almost cool. Almost.

Also likely illustrative of what that kind of money does in terms of allowing building permits... (or allowing authorities to look the other way).

Those are so bad they're almost good though. Canada's suburbia is ugly and bland and beige. Those houses are so colourful and gaudy they almost improve the dreary surroundings.
