Wow...they certainly are moving on this. Odd to see 2 buildings in the same location downtown come down on my watch.

Weird question, but does anyone have photos of the BMO interior? Of all my time in Edmonton I never once actually went into it just to see what it looked like...

I use to go in there in late 80s to cash my cheques when i worked at Aldos in the mall. Basically looked like a ordinary bank with offices surrounding it.

I've noticed a lot of light poles around older hoods that need to be replaced in Edmonton. But downtown!!

And this is what happens when they dont get changed out in a timely fashion.

Excavation Has begun on the site at 109A ave and 124st. No indication since the sign still says pending.

I noted a short while ago that some ultra-rusted poles were completely replaced along 101 Av east of 50th Street in the last year. I'm guessing the city has a zero-maintenance policy and just replaces once rust has outnumbered the amount of steel remaining?

(which still makes me wonder about southbound low level bridge... what a rusted eyesore that is)

I can tell you more about this as we also have this site under contract - expecting to close this March. Imperial is removing some surface contamination that was detected after we completed our environmental assessment. More details to come on this site!

I believe it is Epcor that owns streetlights, not the City (well at least indirectly).

Does anyone think we will see new low-rise condos built along 124? I would love to buy a unit in the area, but the stock is non-existent. A couple dozen 6-10 story condo buildings would be ideal IMO.

Just in Van right now and their near perfection of the 4-6 storey is amazing. Great street front retail in the right areas and nicely designed buildings. This is what we need on 124st, 109st, etc.

I'm glad to see that the window colour is different than the Edmonton Tower, but wasn't this building and the Stantec building rendered having silvery finishes?

Concur. So how do we encourage this form of development in Edmonton?
