^I actually kind of like the design. Hard to tell from cartoon renders of course, but I think it'll have a very big city feel to it at ground level, something you'd expect in Chicago, Toronto, Minneapolis or something.

This website has an image of the entrance I've never seen before – looks great. I was worried from the other renderings that there was going to be additional parkade entrances on Carlton, but it's just cutouts for the lobby loop.

Sorry if this question was answered before, but did we ever find out the reason for the seemingly double-height 6th floor on the north tower?

^No but we all assumed it was likely an amenity/lobby floor for the residential portion, as the only thing know is that there's still "several" floors of commercial in that tower ass well.

Twitter says residential tower will be topped out in February. Seems about right.

More photos in Sean's feed as well.

3D computer sketch has the words "La Grande Residence" atop the Sutton Place Hotel building.

I like Parisian / French things.

Why couldn't Sutton have put this in St. B?

That site image is nicer.

Overall it's no bad design, just looks slightly "airport luxury" rather than "True North Square" to me, but I'm sure that would change at street presence. That entrance looks grand, after all.

Could have maybe one nice hotel and a couple boutique hotels nearby and it would greatly enhance that whole strip. I would love to see more low to midrise with ground floor retail there.

Lots of big steel work going up to finish the roof level of tower 1.

they have the Nicolette! (and for those oldies in the group they use to have one at the base of the bridge I'm told at the corner of Tache & Provencher, "Hotel de Ville")

If the cam would update, we'd be able to see some progress.

But yes, they brought a truck load in the other day and looks like it's going in rather quick.

That was not exactly an upscale establishment, even as those things go.

Yeah but they were innovative, first ones to have a plexiglass shower on stage!
