If they are ahead of schedule, maybe this summer will be opening?

Drove by after the hockey game Saturday night and the inside looks completely unfinished. That’s where all the time has to be spent.

Verve is almost taller than First. A nice little skyline forming in East Village.

Check out my Seton update just after for passably bad cellphone photos. At least they aren't grainy.

It's up there in terms of poor quality, but at least the subject of the photo is something of interest.

Daemon, on these shots of Telus sky I would recommend continuing along the path eastward over to the area by Rotary park. You get a better view from there.

I can't make out the subject, it's just a blurry mess. There isn't really a point in posting pictures if we can't tell whats happening in them lol.

Appreciate the update, that's an area that I never go to.

You can't see Telus sky from that location either. He needs to go east or south of downtown to get a clear view.

They probably also need a fair amount of time to move materials over from the old location, move in new stuff, do testing, etc. Maybe construction will be done by summer and then the rest of the time will for getting the place ready for general use.

Daemon said he doesn’t ever go downtown so those views might be the best it gets.

I appreciate the pics daemon, and it’s great you’ve resized them. My recommendation is try 1024x768

Great to hear! Is that the old Blockbuster video building? That location could definitely use some more density. Any links to the project or idea of the name or developer?

That would make sense.

What are people's thoughts on this new hardie board siding that is cropping up everywhere in the city? It either looks decent or completely awful (worst being Torode's abortion in Inglewood). I haven't seen much in between. I'm very disappointed in this Cedarglen project even though I didn't have much faith to begin with. Renderings vs reality:

Great photos O-tacular and Daemon (My photos have been of horrible quality too.....when zooming in it tends to happen. Seems like a cell phone camera)

I'm really surprised by the Seton master planned project....the renders make it look as though there's going to be some mildly interesting things to do in that area.

That siding kind of cladding is pretty unfortunate....good grief.

These two end pics aren't bad. You'd be better to keep these and crop them to the areas of construction rather than zoom in with the camera if the camera is a phone. I'm assuming it's a cameraphone you're using?

It’s crappy and suburban looking but I don’t care either way, as the burbs are where it’s showing up. As long as we don’t see this stuff showing up in the core I’m happy.
