I went past River Landing on my run today (Sunday) while they were jacking the red crane.
^^^^ Moving an extension piece into position. I did not see the jacking rig on the red crane on Friday so presumably it was quick to install. Office tower shoring in the foreground.
^^^^ Extension in jacking rig. I didn't get a pic but it looks to me like what they did is pick up another load with the crane and then attempted to get the crane as balanced as possible for when they unbolted it from the column and actually jacked it up and slid the extension into place.
There is no tie-back installed on the grey crane. Perhaps they had last minute problems with the jacking rig. Maybe there was a problem with the tie-back, or they want to put it higher. Whatever the issue, I assume that the (two week ?) delay is because they have enough room to pour another floor or two before next attempting to jack the crane. (Update: I only saw kiwis post above after I posted this)
^^^^ They moved the condo showroom to the northwest corner of the block to make room for the east office tower work.
^^^^ Considering the condo is about halfway up, and the north tower (as proposed) is significantly taller than the condo, and the east tower will be almost as tall as the condo, the view coming over the freeway bridge will be fantastic.
