^ No, more than 10 years old - no sign of Palliser South even under construction.

In 2005 the tower was painted red, so it is sometime after that, and before 2010, as the Saddledome still has the Pengrowth name.

Tineye.com says the oldest copy of that photo on the internet was posted Feb 2008.

Edit: one of the places it's found on the web says it was uploaded by "Brandigal" on April 2007

http://www.digitaljournal.com/image/26149/

Edit: upon downloading it the EXIF data is still intact. Taken January 18, 2006 on a Canon Powershot A70, although the time is 00:22, so since it definitely wasn't taken after midnight, take that date/time with a grain of salt.

Sometime around 2005-2007. I'm not sure how anyone could think this is only a few years old! The Bow isn't in the picture, in fact it's not even under construction lol.

Apparently, just the underground parking for the cancer centre will be 1,600 parking

When I said "a few years back" I meant around 10 years ago.

I'm trying to find the part where it says construction will pick up.

Just so you know, 'A few' does not mean 10.

I was wondering about the cancer centre parking - underground, or at grade - but you did answer that question for me.
I hope there is a thread for this complex and hopefully - a WEB CAM for this site as well - it will be interesting to watch this building go up in real time.

A few could mean 3 or 4, or a hundred depending on the context.

The York hotel is standing. When was it taken down for the bow?

technically yes. This pre-game crowd was described as 'only a few people' in the stands, but the reality is it's probably a hundred or so.

I'm guessing that pic is 2005:
-Calgary Tower has glass floor observation pod
-no signs of Penn West Plaza construction on former post office site (then known as the Hamburg Harris building)
-no signs of Palliser South construction
