The guy has barely got any playing time, what do they expect? I'm not defending the guy here, but there isn't a very large body of work from which to judge. Montreal likes bad trades, maybe we get Price for Bennett lol

Even though the Jets beat Arizona 4-1 two games in a row recently, the Coyotes did not look bad at all. They just don't have quite enough firepower but they aren't embarrassing themselves. They might end up being the 2017 Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the NHL.

Friedman says Calgary might be interested in getting Kane from buffalo.

That'd be a hell of a top nine. What would you guys give up though?

I'd give them Bennett, and a draft pick. Kane is a risky player though, seems to come with a bit of drama...

I don't think we should give up on Bennett yet, and certainly not for a rental player.

Remember, Backlund had a rough start to his career in Calgary and look where he is now. I think all Flames fans are glad we didn't give up on him.

Bennett needs a change of scenery. Let him go to Buffalo so he can be closer to home.

If he becomes a 40 goal guy there, good for him and his career. That's simply not going to happen in Calgary.

Yes he does need a change, he's regressing here, almost feel sorry for Jagr, he and Janko set up Bennett over and over and Bennett can't finish. The Flames rushed Bennett into the NHL, they went full Oiler with him when they should have had him develop in the OHL and AHL. Now he's a 4th line penalty killer, sad for the Flames(Calgary) highest draft pick ever.

Another nice 4-1 win for the Jets - this time in Anaheim.

Going back to the end of last season, they're 21-5-3 in the last 29.

Jets are number third overall in the NHL. Jets second line came through today in the win over Anaheim. Little with 3 points and Ehlers with a couple goals.

Helly continues to play like a top-10 goalie we always knew he could be.

Calgary's chances of ever winning anything?

Another fun game. Usually as a Leaf fan we are approaching Xmas with our team near the bottom. By this point if the season I'm usually switchining to Basketball to see a winning team. I also hear we have a good soccer and football team right now. 😁

Who cares. We beat the Habs on home turf 6-0. Worth the next two losses.

To be fair, even when the Leafs were terrible it felt just as sweet every time the Canucks beat them.

Bennett had a great Rookie year, he got more points than Monahan did his first year, Flames did it right IMO. Sometimes players just can't compete at an elite level in the NHL the same way they did in the CHL. I think Bennett will come along a bit this year, he just needs a breakout game. Best we can hope for from his is 40-50 points a year.

Saturday's game was disappointing, we almost came back. Ovechkin is a monster though. Still it was nice for 13-year-old Alex Luey, a cancer survivor to see his hero get a hat trick.
