I don't think material admitted to city council will be taken to the OMB, but I could be wrong. I see Joey Coleman on this thread. He would know.

The few people running the DNA can't imagine living in a high-rise apartment or condo, and thus try to impose their own narrow views on an entire neighbourhood.
The hypocrisy is astounding.

I agree- but it goes even further, I was called an elitist myself for supporting Television City by a DNA member. They are spin doctors of NIMBYism under the guise of "Heritage" and "Affordability"

The OMB receives all letters sent to Council on a file. Writing or delegating to Council gives you the right to request participant status at the OMB - allowing you to make a statement to the Board.

The Board is to weight the statements and testimony of expert witnesses much more than non-experts. It is to look at the planning regiment and make its decision.

There's also the big unknown of what happens when the OMB is replaced.

Well, recently it's been either the planning department, or Council against the advice of the planning department, who have approved projects (Tivoli, Connolly) that likely would have been rejected at the Board. So I'd say a delegation to Planning or Council is going to get you a lot further than participating in an OMB hearing which is maybe the most hopeless form of civic action ever devised.

Yeah this names thing seems pretty amateurish. I'm not sure if I would consider the fact my condo design is called a Bob Barker a good thing.

Generic and uninspiring but arguably the nicest new build in Hamilton in years.
