I think the hotel portion looks terrible. Very cheaply executed.

The cladding is bad compared to all new projects in Burnaby, but is especially bad considering this is a landmark project with a 4 star hotel. The overall look will be a little better in my opinion. All the signage will help take attention away from the hideous cladding.

My eye isn't drawn towards the cladding, but it's the unpainted concrete that stands out like a sore thumb to me. It's just so ugly!

What bugs me is the one pour that foe some reason is just so much lighter in colour on the south side about 44th floor.

It will be a challenge for 3cp to open while the Skytrain station is being upgraded. The new central Avenue will have to wait. That will make the grand opening of the hotel seem not so grand.

This is Expedia's rating for guest reviews of the hotel. Since the hotel's not even opened yet, the 3 star rating is meaningless.

May I get answer for one question ? On 3 civic developer web site, it mentions "in-slab radiant heating". Does it mean heated floor in every condo unit ? Thanks.

I also find the raw concrete exterior wall kind of cost cutting. Can they cover it with something better looking or at least paint it ? As we know concrete will get dirt and darkening over time. It can also attract green algae and moss. A land mark building should have something better than the raw concrete 50 stories high wall... The triangular sharp windows are also not better looking than a floor to ceiling window in my opinion. The WAVE building with big patio, or the future PARK BOULEVARD with exterior LED light pattern looks more like a landmark building to me. My 2 cents.

Wrong. Guest ratings appear on the side of the page.

isn't the rating applied within the industry?

Its still pure sketchville in that area, making deals in the parking at central city. Its better than it was but it still attracts the riff raff. Wonder how much security they will have around the hotel.

Anyone know if the condo has heated floor ?

I see this on 3 civic web site: "in-slab radiant heating".

It would be nice if they have it. Then I may not mind the not-good-looking concrete exterior wall...

:-)
