Has 7000 Lougheed sold? Now we just need to wait for the Dairyland plant to move out....but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen soon (although the facility is very old and dilapidated looking). The Dairyland property was put up for sale a year ago for a very short time but they quickly took it off the market (I don't know if it sold, the ad was only up for a few weeks).

Has this already been covered here?
It was just posted today over at Vancouvermarket.

http://www.vancouvermarket.ca/2017/11/24/452-unit-project-planned-for-metrotown-site/

"Thind Properties has applied to the City of Burnaby to rezone a 57,809 SF site at 6525-6585 Sussex Avenue for a new mixed use development including market residential, non-market rental and retail and office uses. The original rezoning application was made over a year ago, but the details have now been finalized and it is now ready to move forward to public hearing."

I believe it has, though I can't remember in which thread.

If I'm correct, there should also be a project proposal for the adjacent site on Telford as well, although I forget by whom.

Which would of course leave the rather large lot to the East, between this one and where Moda sits, as the only undeveloped (or planned for re-development) lot along Beresford in that mall neighborhood.

I also noticed that Concord Pacific already have the board up for the notice for the public hearing (November 28th) for rezoning for their Sears project to the north of the mall as well, so I guess that's also moving along rather briskly.
I take it this means that the court case (or cases) between them and Ivanhoe Cambridge and the mall was settled, or came to some sort of resolution? Or is that reading too much into it?

Vancouvermarket has a few more details now it seems.

Project will be 8.0 FAR comprised of 10 floors of office, 38 floors of residential for a total height of 158.5M.

Fantastic sounding project, good height and lots of office right next to the station.

Nice, I look forward to seeing some renders.

Also amazing that we are actually given the height of a tower in Burnaby right off the bat

Another tower for the 150 meter+ list.

Yeah, 10 office floors caught my eye; it;s the second tower on that side of Beresford (along with Sun Towers) with that much office space.

I didn't think the market for leasing office space was that hot in Metrotown, at least since last I had Metrotower III still hadn't (yet) fully rented out all their floors either.

Here's hoping for a chunky good-sized podium.
Even though that site it sits on is rather slim.

Metro Vancouver bought the building and just finished moving in.

How many floors will Metro Vancouver occupy and how many vacant floors will be available to lease?

The business case projections estimate a requirement to occupy 13 floors and lease the remaining 12 floors, of which 7 floors are currently occupied. This is based on 200 sq. ft. per employee and includes three full floors dedicated for a Boardroom, Library, Committee Room, Print Room, and Data Centre.

Yeah, pretty rare to see height in meters here in Burnaby. With 158.5 meters this tower will be tallest of the row and 17 meters taller than Metroplace. Should look nice in the southern skyline.

Not a fan of either but the metal spandrel looks so flimsy.

The post has a link to a crude massing concept image. Looks like 4 towers 25- 50 storeys in height. http://aoyuaninternational.com/project-the-brentwood-project
I don't believe that it has been mentioned anywhere, but the architect for this project will be the IBI Group: http://aoyuaninternational.com/project-the-brentwood-project

- 1400 condo units
- 50 townhomes
- 4 phase project

As has already been mentioned, that's not spandrel (metal or otherwise).

That's cladding.

There's no spandrel on that building.

You can see part of Brentwood's skyline around the 13-15 second mark of this commercial, you can see the Brentwood 1 tower in the upper left corner. It looks like they filmed it this past summer:
