We recently failed at an Alstom Transport - Bombardier merger in the rail industry over here.
Siemens eventually ate Alstom, which somewhat disturbed some of us since the Canadians can speak the same stuff as ours, while the Germans can't (yet).
But Germany's a huge strategic partner to us. It is outright priceless.
There's another opportunity to make Bombardier larger here, it seems.
