It'd be cool if a Halal Guys opened here. Tried the cart in New York few years back, was great. Tried the Toronto restaurant this summer. Not as great as the cart, but still good.

True, but with Rudy's it doesn't open right to the street, so I'd say it's a little different. Guess Browns just decided for winter it'd be horrible with no vestibule inside, and didn't want to waste space on one... but at 300 seats they could probably have afforded to give some space up hahaha.

As Browns came in and leased the space they might not have had a choice. The landlord might have required that the only entrance be off the lobby.

Well we do/did have laws pertaining to the humane slaughter of livestock but in the "new" Canada anything goes!

Yes the animal has its throat slit and it is hung to bleed out while still alive. Same with Kosher slaughter. All in the name of stupid superstition.

You obviously are not thinking here. Normally animals are killed humanely before slaughter. Are you saying it is ok to make them suffer, or is it your superstition clouding your judgement?
