Agree and I think thats been one of the main discussions going forward is whether there will be a massive glut of available office that will sit empty. I guess this leads to owners of buildings in the core having to make the space attractive and updated, Scotia Place being a good example.
That said, our vacancy rate now is not healthy and the city, private sector and province have to do all they can to attract corporations and businesses to fill in that space so that other developments can move forward. Edmonton still has an array of parking lots that need to be filled up, however the city has come a long way compared to even 10 years ago.
