Fair enough. Reading the last few posts again, I may have been too harsh in my comment and I apologize to scania.

That said, I want to focus on my main point. To repeat, I think all of the excitement over a clearly insane list is unproductive, that's all. There are obviously some people in some places that will never think of Atlanta as anything other than a mediocre city for no good reason. It is what it is.

Scania has a repeated pattern of putting Atlanta 'in its place' in thread after thread, and deserves to be checked for it - whether you like it or not.

And I respond to you when you've been a douche, this post being yet another perfect, juvenile example.

Scania was critical of Atlanta before he moved to LA, but it wasn't infused with smuggery. Since his move, his posts have been very condescending and patronizing. I agree with his sentiments that a lot of Atlanta posters act like we've already won Amazon and that's that, but the way he words his posts rubs me the wrong way. He's not being critical of Atlanta out of love or genuine concern, but almost out of spite...like he hates seeing the posters of Atlanta boosting their own city in their own threads(big difference if Atlanta posters were boosting in the general forum).

I have no intention or interest in being condescending to Atlanta. It has nothing to do with living in LA, just like when l first started on this forum over a decade ago, I’d lived in NYC. Atlanta has a special connection from high school, college, being extremely involved with so many aspects of Atlanta. I do feel that the forum can be one-sided. It’s only post that I’ve made that some don’t agree with, seems to be the only thing that registers in their mind. It’s amazing how harsh people can be towards other cities and it’s accepted, but someone says something about Atlanta that’s not even technically negative and some of us on here get extremely irate. It’s no different for when I would defend Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, etc. and people would say I’m the worse Midtown resident. To me it’s laughable...and not that serious.

It's the same way in every other forum.

I got attacked by people in Austin for a fairly innocent post about their city relative to Amazon HQ2.
