Speaking of Westman Village, there is a video on Skyrise from that crazy windstorm showing the wind ripping the roof away.

I know people don't like seeing links to Skyrise, but some might find this interesting.

That’s not the only thing of interest there. A bunch of new proposals a 50 storeys proposal and another 37 storeys one. Nice to see there are still proposals happening in Calgary despite the downturn.

I noticed another one in the mix. A 46 storey one for Eau Claire, looks like it's a re-design of the old Shaw tower proposal.

Give that a 0% chance of happening unless they have an office tenant signed. Our office vacancy rate just dropped to 27% apparently, and I don't know if that includes Brookfield or Manulife.

Not sure about Manulife but I heard that Brookfield is included in the 27%. Either way that is a crazy high number.

Glad to see the building still being repurposed even if the city totally botched the negotiations with the art gallery.

I am glad to see it being repurposed rather than sit and rot, and become an eyesore.

The City seems to be having issues with negotiating partners walking away from the table lately.
