Such a cool shot.

Stantec halfway up and about to start the residential portion. JW is now officially our new tallest!

Thanks, Drew. PR for sure, but very interesting PR! I think you should post it in the Global proposals section of the board, for those who don’t visit the Canada section

LOL, so apparently you are not allowed to create a thread in the Supertall U/C forum.......Who knew? If you do you get an angry notice from this guy......

NYguy
"Do not post that thread in the supertall forum again. It was moved to the proposal thread for a reason. When construction begins, that thread is moved to the construction forum, we do not create new threads. If it is under construction, request that it be moved.

Do NOT repost that thread or you will be suspended."

LOL, some people take things just a bit too seriously.

People volunteer their time to keep these forums orderly. A poster repeatedly breaking a rule is frustrating.

Even if I did "repeatedly" break the rules (unknowingly it was just twice with ought being told I did anything wrong), there is much better way to handle things.

100%. Everything in life is all about your tone and approach. You are either looking to make friends or enemies. The snarky rude replies I never understood. Treat everyone with respect.

That doesn't sound rude at all. It was a warning. Now you know.

I could've phrased that much nicer myself. Just saying.

It's the instant threat of a suspension without a previous explanation that is uncalled for. I get Ramako's comment regarding volunteering of your time to moderate the forum, but that shouldn't give carte blanche to be arrogant and disrespectful. It's becoming rampant from a number of posters in the forum, and is turning away a lot of folk. I've had a number of private messages from other forumers discussing this matter.

I've amended the post to what would have been a much more civil way of handling things.

LOL @ Canadians sterotypes.

How is removing the WARNING that he WILL be suspended by not following forum rules and also ignoring administrative actions in opening a new thread after the previous one was closed being more civil? He could have just suspended him without any warning.

It's not their responsibility to explain their actions in their position. It's our responsibility as forumers to follow forum rules.

The only snarky, disrespectful posts happens to be the one you're replying to. It mocks our volunteer forum administrators for doing their jobs. Are we really at the point that our skins are so thin that superiors must sugar coat everything similar to speaking to toddlers?

I was just at Yonge and Bloor. I was thinking how it use to be, and then now. Before it seemed a little bit more on the outskirts of downtown. Now you feel like you are in the middle.

One Bloor is gonna shake things up further.

A dramatic change in the skyline however, even if you double or triple it, it will still feel on the outskirts with the valley to the north and the movement of people southwards. Charles Street has been almost entirely redeveloped but, Bloor still retains all the older midrise and highrise blocks. The new towers have had less impact on the evolution of main street streetlevel vibe in the last 25 years than one would think.

I'm sorry that I find it fucking pathetic to post a PM from a site's administrator here because you didn't like his tone.
