I only have two comments regarding that article:
1) - If you are going to compare apples to apples, then if Halifax has a (metro) population of more than 400,000 (which it does), then the Moncton population should be for the CMA (150,000), not for the city proper (72,000).
2) - The reason why the third Touchdown Atlantic game didn't draw as well as the first two is because the CFL was only half-hearted in it's third attempt. The first two games had a full week of festivities preceding the event and there was a lot of hype. The third time around, there was no build-up at all and no community engagement. The CFL was only going through the motions and I think they really
wanted the event to fail. They had already made up their mind by that point that they weren't interested in Moncton.
I am not interested in reigniting the "Halifax vs Moncton" CFL fight. That's over and done with. I'm just attempting to set the record straight. As long as Halifax gets a team before I'm too old and infirmed to go to a game, I'll make my way down there a couple of times a year to go to some games.........
