What incredible pictures. Thanks for the trip.

If one were to view this set of downtown and north lake shore, based on all the development, they would think Chicago was one of the healthiest cities in the world. Well, it may be in some respects, but we all know it is a much deeper story than what the aerials show. Anyway, the beauty of these reminds me of a major reason why l in love with this city in the first place.

Did 145 S. Wells ever start construction? I think I remember the parking garage being demoed but I haven't been down there or seen anything since.

I walked by there a few days ago and, though fenced off, there's nothing there to discuss yet.

So they have clearly changed paths on how they are developing Atrium Village, but I cannot find the updated renderings or layout for the project. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The midrise building at Division/Wells looks nothing like the initial renderings. I'm done complaining about it though.

I'd rather them have started work on the towers along Division before continuing south on Wells. Division is undergoing a transformation for the better IMO. It used to get pretty sketchy at night, especially near the Clark/Division red line. Now there are people out in surprisingly large numbers after 10PM. I wonder if/when the owner of the Jewel strip mall at Clybourn/Division would sell their parking lot. It would also make for nice park space IMO.

They decided to keep the midrise, so there will be two new towers instead of three. As a result, the last two towers will have a much higher unit count and are much taller. Phase II now calls for a 425' tower with 428 units.

Why is the existing mid rise staying?

Are they rehabbing it? Did current residents complain about being displaced?

I'm happy something is being done here, but Elm should have been extended through the site to Wells St.
