Ikr? Even if it were just 10 stories taller, it would be a dramatic piece on the skyline.

No but I get frustrated when some idiot appears to take credit for someone else's work/talent...as has happened to me on this site. Imagine your reaction if the tables were turned. I guess you and I are different. I have posted photos I have personally taken and they have been posted to other website without giving me credit. However, I didn't think twice about it. I just assume when I post something on the internet it's there for the taking.

Back when land was cheap, it was a way to give everyone on the floor either north or south views. It also gave the building a more direct view from cars driving down the road. I think it also ensured that a neighboring building could. It build directly adjacent and block all views of the tenants.

Yeah....it looks a bit odd from that vantage. From the ground (5th St Bridge) and connector it looks better imo. Seems like Atlanta is only getting 20-30+ story buildings in this cycle....hope Opus2 happens to give the (real) skyline a boost

Yeah, I wasn't sure where to post it.

It's not the 60 job themselves that are an issue, but the possibility that their announced expansion in Atlanta that includes 500+ jobs could be at risk. That's not an insignificant impact for what's an up and coming neighborhood.

The height of our buildings this development is rather underwhelming thus far. Seems like every city and their mother is getting buildings consistently out of the 30 range. No prominent addition for Atlanta so far. Even with opus, I think it would be rather underwhelming compared to other designs I’ve seen.

Sometimes though, you just gotta count your blessing and keep things in perspective.

There are cities that would kill to have the skyscrapers that are going up in Atlanta right now.

We do have a lot going up. Certainly some more remarkable than others... Seeing taller towers go up in Dallas, Denver, Nashville, Houston, San Diego, Milwaukee, Miami, Jersey City... it’s just frustrating even as someone who cares more about continuous walkability. Atlanta could be doing better in design quality and height while pushing walkability considering it’s population and economy boom.

Both of Related's towers flirt with 500', and Opus will be the tallest building constructed in the city in 25 years. It'd be nice to have more oomph in the skyline but this is unquestionably the most prolific development period in our history, all in all.

What's going up in Dallas, San Diego, Milwaukee, and Jersey City that's bigger?

Nashville at least doesn't have any supertall skyscrapers going up.

The biggest ones are both 45 stories, one of which is in limbo due to what could be a long and drawn out court battle.
