Exclamation ... and Brentwood is such a big player ....

.... and this is part of what propels Metro Vancouver into a quantum leap forward after the decades of the 70s, 80s, 90s ..... amazing what the city is becoming.

I just went into Brentwood for the first time in... a year? 14 months?

Holy crap, has it ever changed! The last time I was there, no construction had started. It was still being excavated. The tower might have had a few floors poured, but nothing like it was today!

Now I have a much greater appreciation for the mass involved in this project. It's so much more than just a one building design, or even a low rise / high rise combo. I'm excited for what the end product will look like, and what this will do for other mixed use developments like City of Lougheed.

Great update, excel! Towers on this complex will look great, but the podium looks like shit. Also shame for them to build Skytrain bridge that small. It will be congested from Day 1.

Cool.
I think that's the same as the ones in the planters at 888 Hamilton in Vancouver, which do very well with limited root space (although the trees with heavy southern exposure don't seem as healthy).

Very cool indeed!
Which other skytrain station has such a commanding entrance to a shopping plaza? with a huge fountain and a lovely tree , even high end Oakridge.

Taken from a realtor.ca listing of a unit inside Stratus of Solo.

A view from a different perspective of the ongoing construction.
I'm stoked about the final product of this project, can't wait to live here.

If I may also throw in my two cents of speculation, I predict and I sure hope the large commercial anchor tenant on P2 becomes a grocery store (T&T would be awesome).

PS this is my first post, so I hope I referenced and credited this image properly!

Welcome aboard.
We have several members who have been doing a great job of documenting this project (and others), but we have been missing angles just like this. So, thank-you very much. Post more if you can.
