It really is sad. I think Watermarke can easily be fixed but I'm sure their HOA fees are already outrageous.

The original podium plan for the 8th and hope podium looked way more interesting.

Any word on the Angels Knoll site? I thought they were voting on an architect for the site this month? And oh, the LA skyline looks amazing, all lit in Dodger blue. Go Dodgers!

I don't know how to post the flier, but they are reviewing the four finalists on Monday at 6 PM on Bunker Hill.

Unless Watermarke has recently gone condo, there is no HOA fee because it is an apartment building. It is up to the owners of the building, ASB Real Estate Investments.

Love the amount of growth we are seeing in downtown. Excited for these to open and begin filling in, so the next round of construction can start. I just wish the rest of LA had this same level of construction...

Also, I think Atelier is still my favorite new residential high rise, but Olive and 4th is giving it a run for its money.

Just for fun.

I hope LA looks like this in the future.

That was a great update hunter.

You can clearly see that Downtown Los Angeles is undergoing its largest construction boom in modern times (or probably in history).
I don't know a single person who predicted it, not like that.

Our 2028 Olympics-Skyline will impress the world.

I think LA will suprise people in 20 years. I hope the boom accelerates.

As its multi-node skylines and clusters boom, along with its proxies, its unique as it isn't just all centralized.

If I live to see this (which I doubt because I would be 92 years old--but you never know), it would be interesting to say the least. If the skyline met this future, and after all my years living in the area seeing a very horizontal city evolve, I wound't have believed it.

that was originally a weak point since it made it much easier for ppl to abandon dtla starting over 50 yrs ago. But that was also due to dt never being a very appealing place to live & work....particularly to live....even when there were fewer competing centers throughout LA.

some ppl, esp here since this is, after all, a website that attracts fans of highrises, think the be all & end all of a great city is the number of super talls & towers, & lots of density. I don't believe that's as important for a city like LA.....which would be a case of same old, same old if it were a clone of chicago or NYC.....than it be mainly improved so it's a more attractive place to be a part of.....high density or low, highrise or lowrise.

the biggest problem with dt are things like the tinker toy parking structure across from disney hall seen in this vid. the update page of the LA planning dept shows the permit to tear it down still hasn't been approved. what's the hold up?! hurry up!

Oh sweet. I always thought it was condo for some reason. Then there really is no incentive for ASB to do anything with the podium. Unless the city steps in which will then lead to them raising rents and blaming gov intervention instead of the truth which is watermarke has never been "Completed". In my book, its its only in the "topped out" stage and that's it

The Best thing about this current boom/cycle/growth is that we are excited about what we already know.... I think the real fun will begin soon since the big empty parking lots are disappearing and we have smaller lots to tackle which will give developers only one option. Vertical.
