I’m actually embarassed to post this one. Yes that’s a plastic horse in the front yard. What you may not be able to see is that it’s reins were tied to the tree.

Totally unacceptable.
Yeah I know! It’s always been the first image that pops up. Shame.

It is ugly. A mentally-challenged artwork, for sure. What is with the deal with both eyeballs on the same side of the head?

As a side note, Does anyone else fucking hate Minions? They are not cute. They are not amusing. They are not cool-looking. They are fucking lame and annoying and ubiquitous, and I fucking hate them.

That's not a second eye it's part of the reins.

As far as Minions are concerned they are the yellow buttplugs of children's entertainment.

At first I thought the alley continued all the way to this guy's back door. But nope, this is what I can only assume is some contractor or landscaper's yard. Their poor neighbours. I especially like the metal construction fencing on the right.

Inside our bunker of a City Hall (ugly) as our new progressive, urbanite, gender-balanced council is sworn in this afternoon (not ugly).

Minions are a really g***damn annoying thing to see......I avoid social media or whatever because of it....and the weird features and people. Why there's a need to put a hairy buttplug with overalls on an image with a quote....I wish not to know.

Something that makes me frustrated to see as well is SFH that really doesn't fit in it's surroundings. A few days back I was in Hamilton, and noticed one house that was quite an odd duck......unless you go a hundred metres north but I digress.

Here's one house I noticed just up the street:

Here's the POS I photographed with my cell phone.....though the photo on Google Maps is from May 2016...before this thing was finished. If you look in 2011 streetview, the house was formerly a one floor house....nbefore it was torn down for this.

That first streetview is something... My wife said it looks like a dollhouse. Why in the hell did they build it so small? Same for the one you photographed. In Calgary there’s the opposite problem. Everyone massively overbuilds for their infill lot.

In other ugly canada news Calgary could actually end up electing that blithering idiot Bill Smith because people are petty and want to spite Nenshi. He’s leading in the polls. Ugh! So far he’s been found to have run a business that almost had $24k repoed from the bank, threatened to put the green line lrt on hold which has been talked about and studied for a decade and finally secured federal and provincial funding, was quoted as saying “It would be nice if I had a plan.” when prodded about said announcement and won’t release his donors list. I’ll give you a hint why: the Flames are likely bankrolling him so they can get their sweetheart arena deal. Will we never learn from Rob Ford? Yet people continue to say: Oh he can’t be that bad. I just want Nenshi to lose.

What is it about Nenshi that's made him so unpopular lately?

Regardless, he's built great name recognition. Provincial or national politics should be an easy, natural next step for him.

He's being Reimered... Scum-bag Edmontonians of a certain age know what I'm talking about...

For the rest of the nation, being Reimered is to have a cabal of business-owners try to demonize their progressive mayor and then railroad through their own narrow agenda of tax cuts and sweetheart deals... I am sure y'all have seen it before but Alberta is naturally the most cut-throat when it comes to dirty politics with good reason..

People think he's arrogant. Also some people are being duped by the Flames into thinking the lack of a new arena is Nenshi's fault. Mostly it seems to be a surge of wealthy donors supporting the upset of our progressive mayor. They want lower taxes etc. Basically what canucklehead said.

Yesterday marked the end of an era. SEARS Canada is officially kaput.

What will become of Calgary's Northhill mall without their anchor tenant?

What's funny was that Jan Reimer was replaced with. . . Bill Smith.

In response to Sears' imminent liquidation, the largest shopping mall in Northwestern Ontario basically said, "Thank God they're leaving! We've been waiting to put something better in that space for 10 years!"

Well, I mean, not quite that, but look:

Quote:
"We've known that Sears has been slowly declining in terms of its performance and the amount of traffic it generates for the mall,"
Quote:
"So this provides an opportunity, frankly, to take that space back and re-merchandise the space with retailers that will drive more traffic."
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/intercity-sears-closure-1.4349128

A while back when it looked like Sears was going to fall apart it sounded like the space was going to be subdivided for H&M and a couple other medium-sized mall stores but obviously that didn't happen.

I kept telling people that when they liquidate they can go there to get cheap power tools but apparently Sears doesn't have them anymore?

Our Sears in Timmins closed earlier this year. Unfortunately there is nothing likely to replace the space for a very long time. Most people here didn't like the store over the last decade anyways except for some seniors. There were so many times I went into the store where there were fewer than 10 people shopping in it!
