I really do think that it is time to elect new individuals to city council including the mayor and hopefully things will change. I will not be voting for Nenshi as I would like to see a mayor who welcomes new business and new projects and is ready to roll up their sleeves and work with all interest groups to ensure that things move forward and ensure that Calgary continues to be a vibrant city with amenities that will be used by Calgarians and will also be a magnet for entrepreneurs who want to set up shop in this city and create new jobs.

And here is the problem with Calgary voters and why I think this election is going to be a disaster for us in the long run.
People are completely uninformed and are making their decisions based on word of mouth news and FB status updates.
- What projects are being tabled endlessly?
Every major project in the city seems to be moving forward. I can't think of anything that is being tabled without any progress?
- How is Nenshi anti-business?
Are you going to tell me that simply not gifting hundreds of millions of dollars with no chance of repayment to the Flames is anti-business? Because on every other front he has been pro business and pro diversification, putting actual effort into bringing business to Calgary.
- How are your property taxes high?
Do you realize Calgary has the lowest tax in any major Canadian city? Your taxes could have increased for a multitude of reasons, most likely cause your property value increased or at least the area you live in became more developed.
It's depressing to see people's reasoning for voting against Nenshi. Few, if any can articulate anything besides "my taxes went up and I don't like him".
