Summer walk

Daughter and I were out or a stroll in the River Valley and I took this pic. I'm not much of a photographer and this was taken with an old iPhone 4S (I think that's what its called) but it didn't turn out too bad.

I'll have to leave a link for it. The forum doesn't have a way to upload it, and the BB code doesn't seem to be working for me.

Snapped a couple of cosplay pics while at the Edmonton Expo today.

Yes that's indeed a Green Lantern Spider-Man and a Batwoman with fangs!

I have no clue what they are but very impressive and disturbing, especially the girl on the far left with the giant blade.

Makes one wonder how much impact a development of the lands east of downtown would make on the cityscape.

I checked out the bridge today, sorry no pics of that. The bridge can easily accommodate 4 lanes of traffic, what a relief.

Out of curiosity, is that an electrical substation in the forefront of the photo? (where the bright orange/yellow lights are)

Yes. It was historically associated with the Rossdale power plant. I believe that it's still functional even after the plant's decommissioning but I'm not entirely sure.

Yes the substation is still operational. In fact they are going to expand one of the substation buildings.

Huh... wouldn't have thought they'd locate that on a floodplain.

^ The power plant has been sitting there for more than 100 years, and that substation has likely been there for about as long in one form or another. So why would this be a problem now?
