That project has had various names going back to 2005 or so. Most of the old posts about it on here have been when it was being called 1155 Barton Springs. But maybe it's a serious project now because that's the best rendering to date.

A site plan extension was filed for 1155 Barton Springs back in February, but it appears to have fizzled. The original 2013 site plan expired in June. It's a nice looking project, I hope they get it done.

Caught a soil testing crew prepping to sample the parking lot on the SW corner of 22nd & Nueces (across the street from Lofts of Austin). The lot had a moon tower, but that was dismantled a few months ago.

Avon at West 22nd

Slow movement as they seem to only have a four man crew here. My last shot from this view.

Kappa Alpha Theta - West Campus

I've heard that the Kappa Alpha Theta house at 2401 Pearl St is going to be re-developed by the sorority. About 45,000 SF plus structured parking. That'll continue to add to the density in that area.

Continuing the West Campus updates. The Conquistador Apartments at 2101 San Gabriel St may be vacant soon as the landlord is only doing month to month leases. The owner is looking to sell for redevelopment. They charge up the ass for an outdated 1-bedroom.

The site plan status for these projects has changed to "Inactive". This means that there has been a change to the project since the site plan was first filed.

711 Trinity (Block 87)
Cambria Hotel
The Huston - This would be a second change since it was known as One Two East
Town Lake Lofts (aka East Ave. Apartments) - This project has already had several changes

So wait . . . "inactive" doesn't actually mean inactive?

That would be East 6 and here is the link to the marketing for it: https://aquilacommercial.com/property/east-6/ I hope they rename it because "East 6" is the lamest name for a building in East Austin.

South end of Mueller is filling out a bit more. Could have been taller, but the retail is a good neighborhood amenity.

Quote:
Amid the bustling growth at Mueller, Austin Modern Lofts has been selected to build the next mixed-use residential and retail development near Mueller’s former control tower, at the northwest corner of Berkman Drive and Tom Miller Street.

Beginning in early 2018, Austin Modern Lofts will break ground on 91 for-sale residential units, which will include a collection of 35 attached condos in a mixed-use building, with approximately 6,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, along with 56 attached, for-sale townhomes, five of which will be shop houses that will also include first-floor commercial space with two stories of living space above.

Also they have been working on the repaint of the Hilton in new colors for the past couple months. I'm a little underwhelmed, I thought I heard it would be blue and gray, instead it's just a lighter shade of beige and a darker brown. Although the new pattern makes it look more uniform and disguises the break between hotel floors and condo floors.

This is awesome. Sackmans nine-story 78-84 Rainey project moves forward. This is that nine-story mixed project next to 70 Rainey:

The renderings have been posted multiple times somewhere on here.

I was never a fan the Hilton color. I'm glad after 14yrs it's finally getting a better paint job.

Here's a refresher for the 78-84 Rainey project.

I'm a big fan of this one. Just the right midsize project for Rainey.

It doesn't look like it. That leftmost bungalow appears to be the 70 Rainey sales office.
