Maybe they'll consider the Toys R Us sign to be heritage as well, then we'll have something slapped on top of the BowMac and Toys R Us.

The Body Shop, 1000 block Robson location has closed just a couple of years after opening. That leaves another big vacancy on that block, the former big CRU's occupied by A/X and BCBG remain vacant as well.

L'Oréal just sold Body Shop to a Brazilian cosmetics company Natura who also owns Aesop.

I took advantage of the toll-free bridge and went to Guildford Town Centre today. I hadn't been in about 3 years or so. The spots that were empty 3 years ago are still empty and the old navy is still the old old style store. The sears was pretty dismal. The cosmetics section was shrunk down to about 3 counters with only 1 sales person working at them. Loads of merchandise but no shoppers.

I wonder why the mall can't attract any new retailers? their centre court is pretty sad since it's not really surrounded by stores. They had a lot of banners up for Carls JR located on the upper level by Walmart. I didn't see it and thought above Walmart was only parking?

Only 2 new stores coming soon, miniso and birks. The mall was really busy for a wednesday around 4 pm.

NCIX is in the process of restructuring. They recently closed all of their stores in Ontario and closed one in Surrey. Meanwhile, Memory Express is opening another store, this one in Langley.

The mighty?

NCIX was a small chain of computer part sales and builders.

Excuse my nostalgia the 00's were spent with friends building PCs, NCIX = at the time great service and great deals, boxing day was always a blast

I have built 3 rigs at NCIX over my years as well, but I was just confused by the phrase 'mighty'.

I for one am a bit disappointed it seems they are done.

Yeah I loved going to NCIX for obscure cords and parts, they had great sales too. I suppose Amazon killed alot of their sales unfortunately, I hope they can keep one store in Vancouver.

NCIX built me an incredible PC in April but they took forever to do it and I ended up having to buy a 1080ti from Newegg since they lied about having it in stock.

But I'll miss them but even moreso because they actually make amazing youtube videos, some of the best tech videos on the internet with great humour and info. Luckily Linus at least already separated himself long ago, but it sounds like the official NCIX channel has dumped half their people.

My baby - liquid cooled i7-7700k/1080ti with 32 gigs of ram. Can play virtually any game at 4k/60+fps/near ultra:

Wow that's a monster.

The one I built 5 years ago was a liquid cooled beast but my latest incarnation from earlier this year was much more tame. I reflection of my personality as I grow older i suppose.

I supposed I used a bit of hyperbole, the phrase will be much more suited for SEARS CANADA

Going to open quite a few retail spots, could we finally see Broadway BowMac redeveloped?

It is nice to see the return of mom and pop toy stores, they are on a come back.

Ron.
That was quick, ToysRUs files for bankruptcy

Managed to use an extremely old gift card on some LEGOs over the weekend

snapped this at Park Royal last week, the outside of the new H&M looks done. There is a small sign along the outside with two small backlit windows for posters other than that its pretty dull and no exterior entrance.
