Interesting. Those are my 2 favourite of the set. The east end of downtown is only now starting to fill in and go taller but it has an appealing urbanity to it at street level. Those 2 photos also show the potential that exists for the downtown as this area is stitched more closely to the rest of downtown.
The new data centre and Globe & Mail HQ are just the beginning. We'll see a ton more residential, office, retail, and even institutional construction here over the next 10-15 years. It's already quite a vibrant part of the city and it's getting better each passing year. When the subway is built out this way things will really start coming together. Currently there is no subway at all; only streetcars.
