Thanks for sharing, this one has really flown under the radar. Love the massing and solid cladding material, but the glazing is kinda basic.

Thanks for posting. This has been one of my more anticipated smaller-scale projects. It's looking good.

Here are two small projects along Main that completed somewhat recently. Pics are mine.

This is Brock, at Main & 32nd.


And I don't know what this one is, at the NW corner of Main & 23rd. It has a Burn Fund Centre and there is a nice statue of a firefighter and a child on the corner.

Here is an update to the Little Mountain adjacent area, where there has been a lot going on since the COV approved a policy for the community. I took these pics on Sunday.

Mosaic's James Walk is now complete.

Boffo's two-building EastPark development should be finished towards the end of the year.






The Crest by Forrester Group is essentially sold out so the houses should be coming down soon.


Aragon has recently begun construction on their development, called Shift.


Here is the site again, with EastPark in the background.


A cohousing development is also planned for the area.


Another five properties were recently assembled and sold off so I suspect we'll be seeing another proposal soon.


And here's a quick map I made showing the location of each project. YELLOW = Complete; GREEN = Under Construction; BLUE = Proposed; PURPLE = Land Assembly. EastPark and The Crest are five stories tall. The rest, so far, are all six.

James Walk looks good! Liking what this neighbourhood is heading towards, although certainly not easy getting to this stage.

Interesting fact about this project, in the basement there is a fire simulation room for training people on how to escape a house fire. The fire department has a mobile version of this that I remember coming to my school once as a kid, but this is a permanent facility. There are also several residential units on the upper floors for families to stay in while their loved ones undergo intensive burn-related care at Vancouver area hospitals. Kind of like Ronald McDonald House, but for burn victims' families.

I remember this coming through the UDP and it turned out great.

Harwood Properties unnamed project on Dunbar is going up. I never saw any sales promotion for this building. Is it going to be a rental?

Thanks McKinsey, but none of those actually mention where the building will be strata or rental. If it is strata it will be a rare project with no presales. If it's rental, it will bring much needed rental units to that area.

When I spoke with some workers on site a while ago I came away with two pieces of information;
1. The developer tried to purchase the neighbouring property on Laurier, however the owner refused to sell.
2. The soil conditions have been a nightmare on this site.
