Does anyone know what this is? Looks like Paces is going to develop the Intown Suites property on Piedmont Circle? That whole area is going to be transformed in the next five years if this goes through.

I saw that too. Sounded like it was definitely taking a backseat to leasing up Campanile and his other existing developments, although hopefully new blood will motivate Dewberry to deliver more projects in Midtown.

It is amazing that "do nothing" Dewberry has done nothing in this wave of development.

Thank goodness someone else is getting involved, maybe they'll push him to make a move on at least some of his many properties.
The Campanile Building is in terrible shape on the outside. The landscaping doesn't look like it has been maintained in years. The sidewalks and walkways are in disrepair. Portions of the retaining wall along 17th street have washed away and not been repaired for at least a year, etc... It really looks like crap up close. Not surprising it sits half empty.

The Civic Center is being sold to the Atlanta Housing Authority for $31MM. AHA will develop the site jointly with Weingarten (who previously had the site under contract). 30% of residential units will be affordable.

I heard they had the ground breaking for the new state judicial center a couple days ago. No one's mentioned it. Been a slow month which is typical of construction news in August.
