You're bang on. While it's bad it's not dire. Calgary is very resilient and will/is adapting.

^ Nobody should be crying about Calgary - they are far ahead of us even in their current situation and will bounce back quickly

Exactly. We need to focus exclusively on the City of Edmonton without distraction.

right.

just as if they're not related economically, politically, emotionally, financially and geographically...

that makes about as much sense as trump's wall.

^ Its not about walls but putting Edmonton first - something that has been sadly lacking in this city.

I am sure if the roles were reversed our friends to the south would not be crying for our fair city.

Calgary is fine - don't worry about them.

Trouble with you as you won't born in Edmonton. I was and have a different perspective than you do.

A couple of photos from my rooftop patio. The Marriott looks to be right at the height of City of Edmonton Tower and Bell Tower now!

Looks like Stantec and JW have about 400' and 200' left to go, respectively. I'm looking at those photos and seeing how many towers have gone up since my first visit to Edmonton in 2001.

Amazing.

some might say it's that different perspective of yours that continues to be responsible for holding back much of edmonton's potential.

it's almost as if you have to be from somewhere else to recognize both the opportunities and the quality of life that exist here.

you're correct in noting that i wasn't born here. i moved here twice from somewhere else, both times by personal choice and i'm happy with what those choices allowed me to contribute. i will always be indebted to the city of edmonton for affording me those opportunities.

I can't wait until these towers dominate the Edmonton skyline and minimize the impact of that eyesore EPCOR tower

Owner sees previous Charles Camsell site done by end of next year
http://globalnews.ca/news/3702161/owner-...s-camsell-site-done-by-end-of-next-year/

If you translate current time to Gene Dub time, "next year" = "5 years"

I dunno....Im a fan of the Epcor tower. Sure it Eclipses the Sun at times!

I like the design and over all materials used to build it.
