The definition of u/c for SkyscraperPge is a bit more complicated.

Excavation and shoring don't count.

But if they're lowering rebar into the caissons and pouring concrete, then yes, I think.

That's how they are done but it was true of 181 Fremont and a number of other SF buildings (I think these projects with 200+ foot pilings to bedrock are simply too deep to pound in pre-cast pilings). When did those others move over to the U/C section?

This is definitely "under-construction" per skyscraperpage.com criteria. This is a caisson being put into place.

This blue device was hauled up from the bottom of a caisson and was dripping with liquids when it came up. Is it a big drill bit? I didn't see any obvious way for it to rotate, but it did have some teeth on the underside.
