Claude Cormier always had a penchant fort kitsch. Here he went almost overboard. Haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks well done though.

I might say "whimsy" rather than "kitsch". I've only seen it in photos, but the setting is gorgeous and it has a playful element that I wish we saw more of in our cities.

I haven't seen it in person either but Toronto doesn't do silly too often so I think I'll like it.

That's great to hear! Toronto has a notable lack of great fountains downtown, they look quite good when contrasted with our more modern backdrops. Hopefully this leads to him getting more work in this city.

Is that the new permanent ferris wheel that was to be added to the Old Montreal waterfront? Or the temporary one that was there before?

Agreed. I always thought that Ferries Wheel are a festive and even romantic sight. It fits in many European capitals, so why not in our "little" old town.
