Hopefully there are no roads to this development, located "just 7 minutes north of Regina". If it is really going to be green, then there should only be bike paths, wind power, etc. Uh huh

Scan the skyline for a tower crane and you will have your answer.

The article speaks to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) guidelines that advocates for preventing residential development within 300m of a rail yard and that the City is not following this guideline when it comes to the new rail yard project.

Thankfully, common sense by the City prevailed here. The idea that what is remaining of the rail yards would require a 300m setback is ridiculous. The buffer identified in the article would basically prevent any residential development in the downtown north of 11th Avenue as well - even the lots where the Namerind development has been proposed falls within the articles non-residential buffer.
Cant see this being an issue at all. Living in Toronto, there are massive amounts of residential condo buildings right next to the Gardiner Express way and the train tracks used for constant Go trains etc. And these tracks are running for commuter trains all day long.

There's tons of network/cable work being done in conjunction with this as well.

The new medical office building at Quance and PoW has received its cladding. It is quite unusual and not the same as the render. I think I like it but it is hard to tell the quality.

It kinda looks...fake? It's weird, it kinda looks like a render. Maybe it's just the lighting or glass reflection.

I think it's the picture, in person it doesn't really look fake. I'm not sure what it think of it though. It's sort of interesting, but feels a little too busy. I'm leaning toward the "not a fan" side of the spectrum.

I was stopped at a red light. It is a reflection of my dash on the windshield.

The City has a slide presentation on the possibilities for redeveloping Regent Park Par 3.

I'm a huge fan of modern architecture, but this one's not going to age well at all.

That said, it looks like the render to me.

The render on the project site sign is different.

Hmm, all of the other marketing materials were changed a year ago.

Not sure if many others use Photobucket to host their images. All my hosted images are now not viewable on this forum. Sorry. If there is something specific someone is looking for, you can PM me. Here is message from another forum:

Quote:
Recently the image hosting service Photobucket changed their terms of use for account holders and no longer allow embedded images to be displayed on forums. As a result the forum had many threads lose their photo documentation.

Moving forward we will disallow links to Photobucket
