In Canada the stand alone taco bell's sell the exact same menu as a KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurant. The sales are based on demand for Taco Bell items not a lack of selection. It won't be a stand alone Taco Bell.

A few weeks ago I was at a stand alone Taco Bell in Maine and the menu was 2 or 3 times the menu at the Dieppe Taco Bell. Even my wife was surprised. She never eats at Taco Bell and was surprised by the selection and she actually ordered and ate there with me. For example, Dieppe Taco Bell does not sell a simple item like Pintos and Cheese. The have all the ingredients and the bowl there but do not sell it.

Yeah that's USA taco bell completely different beast. Taco Bell in Canada is owned by YUM and the menu you see in Dieppe is what you'll get from coast to coast. It sucks but it is what it is

Yes, and No the only Taco Bells I've seen in Canada, are not stand alone's. Even in food courts in malls they are always a part of KFC, and/or Pizza Hut.

So maybe for a stand alone version Yum Brands would be willing to expand the menu. Considering how small the menu is curently compared to the American Taco Bell.

Looks like it's only landscaping for now. There's piles of sod waiting to be laid and a gravel path from the sidewalk. They likely just cut down the trees for visibility in hopes of selling the lots.

Taco Bell in either Canada or the USA are owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Hopefully Moncton will see one stand alone as they plan on adding more stand alone restaurants will have the complete menu.

Taco Bell in Regent Mall's food court is separate from KFC. I ate there on Friday night.

I get the feeling that Yum Brands Canada just does the bare minimum they can up here for whatever reasons; at least as far as TacoBell and KFC are concerned. I know my American friends are surprised to hear that fries and not nachos are the main side at Tacobells up here. (I know you can swap nachos in, but promotionally it's all fries).

The menus for TB and KFC are very different on either side of the border, to Canada's loss. Maybe it's just the degree of competition; American restaurants being more competitive, or food quality availability or something; I don't know.

Pizza Hut for whatever reasons seems to be most similar on either side of the board, or maybe I just haven't paid enough attention to the menus. It could be due to competition. Without a doubt, the Pizza market is certainly a lot more competitive than the fast food chicken or fast food mexican markets.

In Canada, there just doesn't seem to be much push to do much with the KFCs or TBs. Hell, until a year or so ago, the KFCs in Freddy and Woodstock hadn't seen renovations practically since they were built. (All 3 standalone stores are now modernized and updated, but still have the same boring menu)

Could be the reason. We do have Dixie Lee, and that seems to be popular but they only have a few locations spread out. Maybe if they had more location it would sorta force Yum Brands in Canada to change up the KFC Menu, and as for Taco Bell competition I'd think Taco Time perhaps. But it's the same as Dixie Lee with only certain areas containing locations. I don't think there are much more then that.

I thought the city only had plans for 3 parks, and all 3 previously listed where in the North end/North West end.

Lots of progress on the new retail development just past the TCH on Elmwood. Curbing is in on a large section of the street going into the development. It looks to be almost ready for paving.

A small building has also been built. Judging by its size, I'd say it was a water pump station.

A new Colliers International real estate sign is up on the corner as well.
