Ugh, we went to the one on Winterburn, and it was so disappointing. The burger: not worth the money. It was like a thin frozen patty.

St Albert location is closed as well.

Funny enough though the location was a Soda Jerks before but with a 50s theme.

What the heck! That grandin fish and chips patio must have just happened. We were there maybe a week ago on a beautiful day and were complaining amongst ourselves that there was no patio. Lol.

In last month or so:
rostisados - meh - won't be back. Dissapointing food after long wait to get in
Uccillino - good- all 4 of us enjoyed our meals but everything seemed overpriced
Grandin fish and chips - good - decent portions, good breading, Guinness on tap
Bodega - good - been twice, once food was awesome, second time was very bland...and we order the same thing lol.
Needle vinyl tavern - not same as sidetrack cafe but fine. Very loud lol. Got there late so only limited menu was available.
Local - awful service one time and then decent on two other occasions. Food seems consistent. Prices fair.
O2s - ok - roof top patio is great. Awesome view of city. Food alright. Order the same dish on two different visits and was completely different.

Walked over to the Sugarbowl for a burger and pint. Loved it all except that the patty needs to be pressed thinner.

Alberta Hotel is moving along, the restaurant is going to get some minor renos but from what I here the staff that is being put together is going to be quite good.

Name change is coming as well.

Great to hear, quite a sad looking stretch at the moment.

I always thought a live venue similar to The Needle made more sense for the Alberta Hotel, given that it now houses the province's best radio station. I really hope this next venture from Airboy's acquaintances succeeds this time, but if not then the Alberta Hotel should just bring back the Sidetrack Cafe there.

Music is currently not on the Menu. There may be in the long term but not now. Apparently the facility was not in the best shape when closed. A lot of remedial work was required. I think they are still looking at a July opening if all the permits come through.

This spot will need to be a destination similar to the Hardware Grill.

If you have not had a chance to grab a drink at the new Hyatt Edmonton in the Quarters, do so and enjoy their fantastic interior design and unique patio vantage.

Update, The Alberta Hotel. It looks like they are shooting for the middle to end of August. Some minor renos going on.

Hit up Bottega Sunday night - portions huge, food very tasty, service good.

Only problem? Really, really loud. Distracting in fact, sad to say.
