Is the lally column the temporary steel post?
Looks like there are some recesses in the facade on that corner - I hadn't noticed them before either.
... unless there are balconies on the west side and the recessed areas are the façade and the projections are the balconies.

Technical note: a lally column is a permanent structural member. They are steel columns filled with concrete (usually with a circular section). They can be either adjustable or not.

What are seen in that photo are shoring posts/props (there a many names), which are temporary adjustable steel tubular posts to support the slabs until cured to strength. These are closer in relation to form-work supports and even some types of scaffolding.

It is, but covered in a protective wrap.
You can see that the corners and alignments of the panels are very precise.

Some of my shots taken July 5 mostly of the concrete pour of that portion of the slanted roof. They used the crane & bucket that day, I see they later utilized a pump truck.

Thanks for that pic. It'll be interesting to see Vancouver House rise in that context. Even though it's the less interesting view (without the cantilever) I think it will still look very prominent (taller) and distinctive, especially compared to the other buildings around it.
