I love how it's essentially the star of the video.

Of course, no patience. The rendering is just an artistic impression of an awful design. The actual tower will be much , much worse.

lol at those in the middle units of floors 8-13, 18-20, etc robbed of a
balcony just because of some totally arbitrary attempt at form making...

It's not us. The federal government has placed two of those at all the national parks and historic sites in the province (and, I assume, across Canada).

There's a giant CANADA 150 sign that glows in the dark just out of view to the left. It's really delightful.

It's like a reverse this:

Time will tell. My first reaction was to admire how "in your face" the facade is in that render. :shrug

Back to Fugly. I am really beginning to hate Tim Horton's drive thru. Actually I just hate the whole drive thru culture and the blight upon the landscape. Tim's is the worst offender of a bad lot. Double — drive thrus.

bellscorners, gfwadvertiser

Also the — Wendy's + Tim's combos. Still a few lurking on the shittier sides of towns.

These idiots got married at Tim Horton's.

Can you say triple-triple?

I've heard people order "triple triple" at Timmies before and I've always wondered how common it is. I know several people who put three teaspoons of sugar in their coffee/tea, which would turn it into syrup, for my palate. At Timmies, my "medium dark roast, one milk, no sugar" order is probably less common than the "triple triple".

The best is when there's such a large line for the drive-thru it actually blocks large sections of the right lane on the road leading to the Tim's. My friend who works in Mississauga has gotten angry to the point of yelling at other drivers blocking the entire road for 15+ minutess because of this, particularly since he's just trying to get to work and has no interest in stopping at Tim's...

When I had summer jobs in industrial parks in Calgary a long time ago I used to just park, go in and be back to my car with coffee while the line had barely moved.

I can't even stomach a double-double, much less a triple-triple... Haven't been to a Tim's since having to go to Northern Ontario for work but usually went for a "large half milk, half sugar". Even then it was too sweet.

I also think that people have no clue how bad the drinks are due to the massive amounts of cream and sugar they put in. "Coffee is zero calories, right?"... A large triple-triple clocks in at a whopping 396 calories!!! Which for references is almost TWICE what a latte from Starbucks is. Even a large double-double is over 300 calories... And people tend to have a few of these each day.

Not only ugly, but unoriginal - it has been done before.

One of my wife's family members has several triple-triples every day. With the ensuing side effects that you might expect.
