Holy frick people, it sure doesn't take much of a carrot to get people to bite. Even a smilie and my signature mocking myself and they're still biting. Relax.

Speaking of YUL and company, this view has convinced me of the merits of the 120m height limit along R-L west. It works as a staircase effect and it respects the mountains place in the skyline.

Ultimately, this is my whole point. Drop a silly little carrot, and it will be snatched. It doesn't matter that the carrot has been chewed on for ten years.

And I know you are trying to position yourself outside of this silly debate, with the superiority of irony; but, it matters little. The debate itself is always there - always a dangling carrot, and you were the one to take the first bite by bringing it up. The whole thing is a minor annoyance in that it gets in the way, but in and of itself, it is just silliness. But still, I don't get why it is not greeted with a big yawn. Why did you take the opportunity to give it a push, and why did people take your carrot? Who, at this point, is unaware that this issue has been flogged to death?

post note: my previous post was not intended as part of the argument; rather, it was an expression of how we all naturally use language to refer to compound things like cities; especially how our use changes with changes in context.

I was against that ferris wheel, I laughed at the idea, but I gotta admit it looks great in that skyline shot.

A bit off kilter because taken with my potato when I didn't have the SLR with me - a Calgary skyline view not often seen from SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Calgary) which has some of the most incredible views of downtown Calgary...

Love the ferris wheel in Montreal. If only it were constructed to the quality of the London eye and had more permanence in its look
